Deleting your account and data
Last updated: 22 October 2026
In short
- Delete your account in Settings → Your data → Delete your account.
- For 14 days you can change your mind by signing in. Then it's gone for good.
- Messages you sent in groups and private chats stay for the others, shown as from a "Deleted user".
- Can't sign in? Write to privacy@kinf.app.

1.Deleting your account
- 1Open Settings → Your data and press Delete your account. If you like, download a copy of your data there first.
- 2Type what the box asks for (your username, or your e-mail if you have none) and press continue.
- 3Enter the 6-digit code we e-mail you. Your account is closed at once: your profile disappears, you are signed out everywhere, your connected accounts are disconnected and a paid plan stops renewing.
2.14 days to change your mind
For 14 days your account stays closed but not deleted. Sign in during that time and you can open it again, with everything as it was. After 14 days it is deleted for good, in the nightly clean-up.

Want your group messages gone too? Before or after deleting, write to privacy@kinf.app and we delete them.
4.Connected accounts
When you close your account, Kinf's access to your connected accounts (such as Google Drive) is revoked right away, at the provider too. If you come back within 14 days, connect them again.
To remove just one connection and the data Kinf has from it, without deleting your account, press Disconnect in Settings → Integrations. You can also remove Kinf's access on the other service's side, for example in your Google account.
5.If you can't sign in
Write to privacy@kinf.app from the e-mail address of your account and ask us to delete it. We send a code to that address to make sure it's you, then delete the account as above and confirm by e-mail. We do this within 30 days, usually much sooner.
6.Your right to erasure
Under GDPR and UK GDPR (art. 17) you can have your data erased when we no longer need it, when you withdraw consent, or when you object and we have no overriding reason to keep it. We tell the providers we passed it to (art. 19). The few things we keep after deletion, and why, are in the table above: receipts because tax law requires them, unlinked usage records, and messages others received.
7.Deleting less
- A file, project or brand: move it to the trash. It is deleted after 30 days, or right away if you delete it for good from the trash.
- Something Kinf remembers: Settings → Memory.
- A chat: delete it, or leave the group.
- A share link: turn it off; the old link stops working.
